With the acquisition of Link Solutions, TNS is expanding its activities in Latin America from its operation in Brazil.
Transaction Network Services (TNS), one of the world’s leading payments solutions providers, announces its expansion plans in Latin America from its operations in Brazil. Last year, the company acquired Brazilian Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity specialist Link Solutions, which it will now rebrand to TNS.
TNS anticipates expanding its market presence in Brazil beyond the sectors of tracking, monitoring and payments. It plans on developing new connectivity solutions for machine-to-machine communications and telemetry throughout the country. From its strong presence in Brazil, TNS will also invest in expanding its footprint in Latin America, providing connectivity solutions in countries like Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Mexico.
“TNS is one of the world’s premier providers of secure data transmission services and a specialist in customizing solutions, which deliver the highest levels of security and customer service,” said Alexandro de Araújo Silva, Latin America Manager at TNS, Brazil. “This aligns with what Link Solutions has been doing in Brazil for more than a decade.” The company will target a wide range of sectors in Latin America, including payments, smart cities, agribusiness, health, industry, retail and finance.
“We believe that Latin America is the next significant growth opportunity for TNS,” said Mike Keegan, CEO at TNS.
“We decided to enter Brazil after determining that Brazil had the best market conditions for the development of a vibrant IoT and connectivity marketplace. Even though we are present in more than 60 countries, TNS was missing a Latin American presence and Brazil is the gateway to the region.”
Brazil has great demand for wireless connectivity as evidenced by TNS’ approximately 1 million connected devices. TNS has reached this number of devices as a result of the organization’s flexible approach to its operations, its ability to adapt to the needs and characteristics of each client, and its great attention to end-to-end network security features. TNS’ close relationship with the best telecommunications operators facilitates the customization of projects and investments in the development of new technologies. TNS’ in-country platform LSM allows remote oversight, consumption control, asset tracking, and cost management through an easy-to-use online client management portal. Clients and customers can easily manage important assets.
