We’re celebrating the news that two TNS Enterprise Product Suite solutions have been successful in the 2025 Merit Awards for Telecom.

These awards, which recognize the outstanding companies, products, and individuals shaping the future of telecommunications, selected TNS Enterprise Authentication and Spoof Protection for Gold in the Security Solution category, and TNS Enterprise Branded Calling for Silver in the Customer Engagement category.

The Security Solution award recognizes the role TNS is playing in tackling an escalating risk of fraud and increasing consumer demand for secure communications, while the Customer Engagement achievement reflects the growing use of TNS Enterprise Branded Calling by businesses across the US.

Tackling fraud and scams

Businesses face significant challenges in maintaining trust and protecting their brand reputations, with the accessibility of AI tools to bad actors further enabling sophisticated scam attacks, placing even the most security-conscious companies at risk.

TNS has been at the forefront of combating fraudulent activities by developing solutions to identify and protect enterprises from these threats. A highly significant achievement of TNS Enterprise Authentication and Spoof Protection is its ability to help restore trust in the voice channel while protecting businesses and their customers from the growing threat of fraudulent calls. TNS Enterprise Authentication pinpoints the origin of each phone call and validates whether a call originates from the actual enterprise. When a call does not originate from the actual enterprise, TNS Spoof Protection blocks the call from going through.

One example where TNS Enterprise Authentication made a difference was for a major national bank that faced a large-scale phishing attack impacting millions of customers. These customers received a text warning them about fraudulent activities on their accounts, and that they would receive a phone call from the bank that appeared to be legitimate but was not.

The bank deployed TNS Enterprise Product Suite, which helped validate legitimate calls, block fraudulent ones and begin branding only legitimate calls. TNS Enterprise Authentication provided enhanced certainty by identifying the point of origin for all the enterprise’s calls, while Spoof Protection promptly blocked any calls that failed verification. In the first few months of using TNS services, over 130,000 calls were blocked. Within the first five months of implementing Spoof Protection, 941,000 calls were received and almost 14% of calls were marked as potential spam and blocked.

Improving Customer Engagement

Our second Merit Awards for Telecom 2025 win, for Customer Engagement, reflects the significant traction gained by TNS Enterprise Branded Calling in the past year. TNS Enterprise Branded Calling adds rich brand information, such as an organization’s name and logo, to its’ outbound Caller ID.

TNS has seen rapid growth in the number of branded calls delivered, with thousands of businesses using Enterprise Branded Calling, enabling them to improve the incoming call display for any of 300M consumers they might call within the TNS Enterprise Branded Calling footprint

By the end of November 2024, data showed that TNS had achieved a 221% increase in the number of branded calls delivered during the year. TNS has seen massive growth throughout several high-touch industries as clients in healthcare, financial services, technology, education, customer service and food and beverage all experienced a positive year on year increase in the number of branded calls delivered via TNS Enterprise Branded Calling.
