John Tait

John Tait is Global Managing Director for TNS’ Payments Market business, responsible for driving growth across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. He works closely with regional leadership and TNS’ corporate team to shape global strategy, ensuring the company meets the needs of customers, employees, and shareholders.

John joined TNS in 2016 as Managing Director of Payments in Asia Pacific and returned full‑time in 2019 to guide the strategic direction of the newly acquired ADVAM business before being promoted to his global role in 2020. Earlier, he was Executive Director at Indue, Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand at First Data Corporation, and held senior roles at the National Australia Bank. Over his 25‑year career, he has delivered industry firsts, including Australia’s first non‑bank merchant acquiring business, a joint venture spanning 11 Asian markets, and the Cashless Debit Card trial with the Australian Government.

John holds an MBA from Sydney Graduate School of Management and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Based in Sydney, he is married with two children.
